Reviewing Barnes' performance at Rising Stars Challenge

Warriors' forward Harrison Barnes helped Team Hill secure a 142-136 victory over Team Webber at Friday night's NBA Rising Stars Challenge in New Orleans.

[BOX SCORE]

Participating in his second Rising Stars' game, Barnes totaled 16 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 23 minutes despite struggling early.

He missed a three to open the game and was just 1-for-7 from the floor in the first half of what was largely a defenseless competition.

But Golden State's sophomore rebounded in the second half, notably driving past Pelicans' All-Star center Anthony Davis for a layup then following it with another scoring drive to the rim before drilling a three.

He finished with a +10, yet he and even the game's MVP Pistons' center Andre Drummond were overshadowed by the one-on-one battle between Knicks' guard Tim Hardaway Jr. and Cavs' guard Dion Waiters.

Barnes scored 12 points as a rookie in last years' event and he is not eligible for the 2015 game.

He finishes All-Star weekend as a participant in Saturday's Slam Dunk Contest.
