There are so many books out there with so many diet plans that sometimes people get frustrated in their journey to lose weight. Everything from the Mediterranean diet, to the South Beach diet, to low carb, high protein diets promise results but may not work for everyone. “Sleep Fat Wake Up Thin: How To Lose Weight F.A.S.T Without Struggle” is the title of Kenn Kihiu’s new book aimed at people who are struggling with their weight.
Right from the beginning the author makes it known that this isn’t a recipe book or a complicated scientific journal on losing weight. It is an easy to read, easy to follow insight into how the human body works and reacts to inner stimuli (hormones) and outer stimuli (stress). Most people will probably finish reading it in within a few hours or a couple of days.
The 5 sections of the book explain his F.A.S.T. philosophy of weight loss as well as behavior modification. It is an eye-opening explanation into how people view food and how to avoid being controlled by cravings, appetite and emotional eating. The section on alkalinity and water is a little complicated because of the chemistry involved but overall it’s a very informative book on the food industry and people’s relationship with food. “Eat to live and not live to eat” is a phrase that will resonate with the reader after reading it.
