Chicago LEGO® fans searching for exclusive LEGO sets, fun LEGO activities, and great deals on LEGO products can visit The LEGO Store in Schaumburg, located inside Woodfield Mall. This playfully themed retail space is full of building opportunities and LEGO items not available elsewhere except through the LEGO catalog and Internet Web site.

Merchandise at The LEGO Store

Less commonly seen and exclusive LEGO® toys fill the shelves at The LEGO Store in Schaumburg, in contrast to other brick-and-mortar toy stores, which often carry only the newest or most popular LEGO sets. A Chicago parent searching for DUPLO® sets, in fact, may rarely find any sets in local toy stores beyond the basic brick ones.

All of the main lines of LEGO toys are represented, from the classic (yet constantly reinvented) CITY, Castle, and Pirates lines to builder-centric lines like Trains, Technic, Creator, and Racers to DUPLO sets for the youngest builders.

LEGO fans can also find all the latest themed sets, be they SpongeBob, Bob the Builder, and Thomas the Train for young kids or Indiana Jones and Star Wars sets for older builders and the young at heart. And, naturally, the store stocks hard to find and exclusive sets, like the Frank Lloyd Wright LEGO Architecture sets and the Grand Carousel set.

What about serious LEGO enthusiasts who are searching for a specific LEGO element, individual brick, or building accessory, or who would like to purchase multiples of one color of brick or LEGO element in bulk? Along with a great collection of basic LEGO building tools (baseplates, customizable minifigures, LEGO Brick Buckets, and LEGO basic building sets), the LEGO Store also features a Pick a Brick wall covered with sections for a huge variety of LEGO elements of all shapes and colors.

Along with LEGO toys themselves, toy shoppers can also find LEGO-themed apparel (shirts and watches), accessories (keychains and magnets), themed LEGO role-play costumes and props made from foam, LEGO stationery and pens, and household accessories such as baking supplies to make LEGO brick and minifigure-shaped desserts.

Features of LEGO Store Schaumburg

The LEGO Store does not just sell LEGO toys. It teaches customers how to play with LEGO bricks, celebrating its history and encouraging visitors to interact with its products through features like the "Brand Ribbon" (a series of small windows circling the sides of the store, each filled with a LEGO model or a bit of information about The LEGO Group) and the "Living Room" (two building areas set up in the center of the store, one for DUPLO blocks and one for regular LEGO blocks).

The LEGO Store also works to create a sense of community between LEGO builders. Kids can hold LEGO-themed birthday parties in the store and join the LEGO Club to participate in fun activities. Often, the store organizes free events for LEGO fans, like Monthly Mini Model Builds.

Customers can also collect stamps on a LEGO Store Loyalty Card to receive a LEGO gift card, and over the course of each month, the store holds various LEGO sales and promotions.

Chicagoans can visit The LEGO Store Schaumburg inside Woodfield Mall, located at 5 Woodfield Shopping Center, right across the street from the LEGOLAND Discovery Center – Chicago.
