Review of crafts book for children Valentine's Day Crafts

Valentine's Day (February 14th) is a fun time for children of all ages to make crafts. Decorations, cards, and gifts for friends and family this book for children, “Valentine's Day Crafts” by Arlene and Herb Erlbach is a great craft book for kids ages 9-12.

Valentine's Day Crafts” also gives children information about the holiday such as the origin, customs, and ideas for ways to celebrate Valentine's Day. Just a few of the many crafts in this fun Valentine's Day crafts book for children include: a friendship necklace, a lacy valentine bookmark, a Valentine butterfly paper clip, a sun catcher heart, and one of my favorites a love bug card.

All of the craft ideas in “Valentine's Day Crafts” are made of common art supplies such as pipe cleaners, and construction paper. This age group loves doing things on their own without supervision and ‘surprising’ people with their creations so the simple to follow instructions are perfect.

In the Lansing area I was only able to find “Valentine's Day Crafts” on the shelves at the South Lansing branch of the Capital area district library but several other branches have copies due back in before Valentine's Day. You may want to contact the branch nearest you and put a copy on hold.
