While visiting the marvelous and glittering Los Angeles, there are also places where all the hustle and buzz of the city can almost be damped by the soothing waves of the Pacific Ocean. One of the best areas to settle down and enjoy the charm of Los Angeles is Santa Monica, a beachfront area in the western part of the city. To truly experience Santa Monica, one of the best accommodation options presents itself under the name of Le Meridien Delfina Hotel, a trademark of luxury and elegance in Santa Monica, California.

Located close to the ocean and near some of the most exciting attractions in the area, including the Santa Monica Pier, Getty Museum and Venice Beach, this hotel is a perfect choice for people who are looking for excellent services and a charming atmosphere. Mark and I were happy to find this boutique gem over a weekend of lazy getaway from ourselves.

Among the wonderful amenities and services available in this exclusive Santa Monica hotel, the spacious and pleasantly furnished rooms, the famous restaurants, the heated swimming pool, the valet parking options, the fitness room and the business facilities are just some of the exquisite features of Le Meridien Delfina… and we enjoyed them all.

The hotel features amazing rooms and suites, recently redesigned in what can be called as a modern, but elegant California beach style, with quality amenities and an intimate ambiance. The bright and minimalist furnishings and finishes of the rooms and suites have everything a guest would need for a leisure or business trip to Los Angeles, or even a girl’s night out (or in). Most of the large accommodations at Le Meridien Delfina feature unique balconies with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, while the six Junior Suites feature boasting 500 feet spaces, with marble bathrooms and other outstanding amenities.

Another highlight of this Santa Monica hotel makes is a perfect choice for anyone, consisting in the enticing dining options, with the Longitude Bar and Restaurant, as well as the French inspired cuisine of Zest Kitchen and Restaurant. The Longitude experience offers a combination of pleasant relaxation and signature cocktails, as well as a vibrant place to spend an evening of socialization. It also offers cuisine specialties for people looking for a complete experience. On the other hand, the unique atmosphere of the Zest Kitchen and Restaurant offers a higher gastronomic experience, a taste of French style and ambiance. It makes for a casual, but exclusive dine and go restaurant, perfect for a time off from the streets of Los Angeles or beaches of Santa Monica. Must haves: The grilled artichokes, the truffle fries, the salmon, and, of course, the Coco-jito, Le Meridien Delfina’s version of this Caribbean concoction.

There is a rumor the hotel serves the best chai in the city, and we will be returning to investigate, looking for the best lattes in Los Angeles. Until then, enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city, and remember to get away once in a while… it’s good for the soul.
