I was a very happy girl this past weekend thanks to L’Oreal Paris. L’Oreal kindly sent me a box full of goodies for me to try out, from hair dye to lipstick. I will be reviewing the products throughout the next couple of weeks. First up – L’Oreal’s Revitalift Moisture Blur and L’Oreal’s Youth Code Texture Perfector Pore Vanisher.

Note: I’m reviewing the Revitalift Moisture Blur – not the “Miracle” Blur.

I have been using the Moisture Blur for the past five days. I’ve been applying it before my makeup and after cleansing my face at night. Since I don’t have very dry skin, I decided to stop using my regular moisturizer and only use L’Oreal’s Moisture Blur for this trial.

Besides claiming to leave skin smoother after the very first use, Moisture Blur is also supposed to address fine lines and wrinkles over time. The instantly smooth skin is no lie! My face felt super soft and silky after applying this – and it lasted throughout the day. Even after applying makeup, the smooth difference can be felt.

Moisture Blur feels creamy and lotion-like with a fresh scent. You will instantly feel the hydration. For very dry skin, I do recommend using a moisturizer before this and sticking with Moisture Blur as a moisturizer/primer before makeup.

Fan of L’Oreal’s Youth Code line? Then you’ll love Youth Code’s Texture Perfector Pore Vanisher! You know those pores around the nose and annoying shine in the T-zone that shy you away from staying make-up free? Well you don’t have to fear them anymore thanks to Youth Code’s Texture Perfector Pore Vanisher.

This product truly makes a difference. I used it along with L’Oreal’s Moisture Blur and these two products were the only thing on my face all day on my day off around the house and errand running.

A negative side to the Pore Vanisher that I read online is that it makes your skin oily after 3-4 hours. My skin is more oily than dry, so I was careful to watch for oiliness around that time. I’m glad to honestly share that greasiness was not an issue for me with this product. I wore it for about six hours and didn’t see any oiliness or dryness. I had my friend try this also, as she has very oily skin. She loved it as well, and only reported back that she brushed on light powder over it to help it control the oiliness – she loved the results.

Both L'Oreal products are available at your local mass retailer. With the fall season upon us in a few weeks, make sure to have these products handy for the holiday season.
