Review: Gospel Brunch with a Texas Twist in Gruene, Texas for great fun

Recently we took a trip to New Braunfels, Texas and checked out the historic Gruene area. On Sunday morning the second Sunday of each month they have what is called Gospel Brunch with a Texas Twist. We got to attend and had a blast!

This was one of our favorite things of the entire trip. Along with the cost of your meal, you get a glass of champagne or a Mimosa. You can also choose tea, soft drinks, milk, and other items to drink. As you enter Gruene Hall, it has an amazing country feel to it. They have large tables set up with benches to sit at and all of the waitresses are walking around in cowboy hats.

The buffet is open from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. It included oven roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, fried apples, buttermilk biscuits with gravy, scrambled eggs, and more. You can also get a nice plate of fresh seasonal fruit. My favorite thing was the homemade biscuits. Everything we ate was perfect.

Once you start to enjoy your meal, the stage has great performances going on. You will hear amazing gospel music. It is like going to church, enjoying a great meal, and having fun at the same time. I honestly would highly recommend this to anyone in the Gruene area. You will be stomping your feet as you eat and having a great time. When we went, it was sold out so make sure you get tickets in advance. You can buy tickets at the Gruene Hall website.
