Okay, folks, especially you Nathan Fillion Fans, you get ready, get set, GO! It’s Castle: The Complete Third Season on DVD by ABC Studios. Castle is the little show that could, chugging along with a great cast full of a charisma that keeps the show going at such a high-rate of excitement and fun.

Season Three is not to disappoint either: this is the season that Castle and Beckett (Stana Katic) kiss, but further more, are on the heels of who ‘really’ killed Beckett’s mother, with dangerous consequences for our two leads, and even some of the supporting cast in the throes of the season 3 finale. I’d hate to spoil it for you, so I won’t! But folks, the Castle: The Complete Third Season is a television show DVD done right. And I’m not sure if it’s because it’s a huge smash, or if it’s because Fillion knows after years of working with Joss Whedon that you give fans something to chew on in the extras section.

Now the normal extras beyond that for the show are quite simple: Featuring Dolby Digital Stereo, the DVDs, like the show, are shot and screened in Widescreen (1.78:1) – Enhanced for HD Television, and features Spanish and French subtitles. The extras are awesome beyond that: featuring the always present deleted scenes and or bloopers, it also contains, a roundtable with executive producers Andrew Marlowe and Rob Bowman, along with Fillion, who discuss murder mysteries with other great authors such as Michael Connally in a feature called ‘Murder They Wrote’. There is the ‘Castle Goes Hollywood’ featurette which shows the cast and crew shooting their episode that takes place in the land of Hollywood, and there is finally a great set of cast and crew commentaries! One of them features Fillion and other stars as well!
