Review: Beatles' expanded 'Love' adds more to the mixes

If you liked the Beatles' "Love," the two new added tracks from iTunes add some new elements. (See our related story for some details.)

Are the two tracks worth getting? We thought "The Fool on the Hill" was the better of the two because there's much more in there to listen for. But since you can buy them for $1.29 each, getting them is pretty much a no brainer.

In addition to the bonus tracks, the downloaded album comes with a digital version of the booklet that came with the original album. There's nothing extra here -- it's the same liner notes and picture collages from the CD.

Note: If you have trouble finding the "Love" bonus tracks, search for the track names one at a time and the "Love" versions will each come up.

Happy to get some new content out of this iTunes gig. I concur...Fool is far superior than Girl.

The versions of Revolution and Back In The U.S.S.R. are also the full length Love mixes found previously only on the DVD audio disc (they were drastically edited for the CD version).

How many other "love" unreleased mixes exist that the Martin's dabbled with?

I'm not finding the downloaded songs in my Windows Media Player library. Apparently because they are MPEG-4 files. Help directed me to Quicktime.

Oddly enough, they are on my ZUNE. So I guess I'm okay. I like the tracks. None of Love will ever replace the original mixes though.
