Emily: “Some believe confession helps a guilty soul find peace, releasing from the shame and regret of our mistakes. In the face of mortality, many feel the need to seek this closure to make things right because if death doesn’t kill us, our demons will.”

Nolan and Patrick are clearly on a romantic storyline trajectory. It’s a little…curious. This is one way to show more of Patrick other than having him only be seen with Victoria. Right now, it’s hard to process this potential connection. Nolan’s scene with him at the club definitely shows some sparks. It is shocking partially because it is unexpected, which can be a great thing. Mainly this will be great because viewers get to see more of Patrick. There is this fear that this relationship will cause some tension between Nolan and Emily. Do you want to see some action between Patrick and Nolan?
The truth has been revealed! Aiden is actually working with Emily and not Victoria! There was always doubt that when he returned last episode that he wasn’t really working with Regina. That being said, Aiden (and the writers) made it really, really convincing that he was. Every reason he gave to Victoria made sense, and so it isn’t too hard to see him trying to get some revenge. Revealing his affair with Emily is something plausible that he would tell Victoria because a man who was burned by someone he loves wouldn’t have any issue saying that. The writers are smart never to have Aiden divulge something unbelievable. For instance, he doesn’t tell Victoria that Emily is Amanda Clarke. If he had given up something of that magnitude, it would have been hard to believe just because of his history with Emily. Did you think Aiden was really working with Victoria or did you always know he was working with Emily?
Here are quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. Daniel and Emily are not in a good place. It’s surprising to realize that Emily didn’t know about the whole Daniel shooting Aiden thing. This new tension between Emily and Daniel is making their storyline much more interesting than when Daniel is just in love with Emily and not suspicious at all. The scenes between Emily and Father Paul have been great, but it isn’t surprising that he dies (assumedly). If he had succeeded in getting Conrad to confess without anything bad happened (like their car exploding), it would have wrapped some things up way to easily. It would have been great if Emily revealed herself as Amanda to Father Paul. What did you think of the episode?
