So much for a womanizer. Kentucky Opera will close its 2012-13 season with Don Giovanni, which takes place this weekend.
Don Giovanni will be performed Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. Both performances are to happen at the Brown Theatre, located at 315 W Broadway in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for each show range in price from $30-$91, depending on seat and date of show. All tickets can be purchased at the Kentucky Center box office, the Kentucky Center website, or by calling the box office at 1-800-775-7777.
Don Giovanni is proof that paybacks are...well, you know. The opera features the womanizing title character who has his cunning ways cut short when he brings the wrong person to dinner. A classic opera created by Mozart that is returning to Kentucky Opera for the first time since 2003.
The Don Giovanni cast includes Ben Wager as Giovanni, Donovan Singletary as Leporello, Deborah Selig as Donna Elvira, Jan Cornelius as Donna Anna, Taylor Stayton as Don Ottavio, Katy Lindhart as Zerlina, Noel Bouley as Masetto, and Liam Moran as Commendatore.
Kentucky Opera is finishing its 2012-13 season with Don Giovanni. The 2013-14 season will open with performances of La Boheme in September.
