The season 4 premiere of "Revenge" is a little more than a month away. So what can be expected from Emily Thorne, David Clarke and the others when the show returns to ABC? On Friday, International Business Times posted some "Revenge" season 4 premiere spoilers.
As fans already know, David Clarke is alive, but it has been hinted that he might not be the man that Emily remembers. For those that want answers about David immediately, sorry, that isn't going to happen. Showrunner Sunil Nayar said that David's story is going to be revealed with a "bit of a slow burn." But viewers won't be left hanging, the answers will come in bits and pieces and where he has been and what he has been doing for the past decade will be revealed. Nayar explained,
“There’s so much that we want to slowly mine, and we want our audience learning who David is along with our characters in some ways, so we didn’t feel like burning off a lot of the story because we have some wonderful story to tell, but it’ll be a slow burn."
Some of the characters will discover David Clarke's presence quickly while others will come to find out much later. It will be interesting to find out when Emily will discover her father is really alive. How will she handle that?
Another piece of information about the "Revenge" season 4 premiere that was revealed is that the characters are going to change. Some have heard that Emily is going to try living in truth and will attempt to figure out what being Amanda means to her. But Victoria is also going to change. She was next to Conrad for so many years, what does it mean for her to have freedom now? David's character will also evolve. He was where he was for so long, what does it mean for him to be back in the world?
Victoria was admitted to the psychiatric ward on the season 3 finale. When asked if the season premiere would pick up with her still in the same predicament, the showrunner hinted that fans just might. Nayar teased that viewers who enjoy seeing Victoria squirm won't be disappointed.
