Revenge” has been an ABC fan-favorite since debuting in the fall line-up in 2010. The back story between Emily Clarke and the Grayson family is enticing. After three seasons, fans were finally given the confirmation that David Clarke is alive. As the Season 3 finale ended, Victoria Grayson was in a mental institution and Conrad Grayson was left for dead after an encounter with David Clarke. According to a July 15 report from E! Online, Season 4 of “Revenge” will pick up in present-day. This means Emily is living out in the open and David Clarke is alive.

There are so many questions surrounding the resurrection of David Clarke. “Revenge” fans have been speculating for quite some time that the man may be alive. The biggest question surrounding the entire story is why Clarke remained in hiding when he knew his daughter was still alive and out in the world. The flashbacks shown always alluded to the fact that Amanda and David were close, so there is confusion about why Clarke stayed quiet for so long.

It was just announced that Season 4 of “Revenge” will the last. It makes sense because the show has really come full-circle. Emily finally got the better of the Grayson family, even with all it cost her. David Clarke was able to hurt Conrad Grayson, something he had probably waited years to do. Emily is going to be living an open life, but fans aren't sure if that means as Amanda Clarke or not.

Fans are excited to see what Season 4 will bring, but also sad that “Revenge” is coming to an end. While the story was never going to be able to fill multiple seasons, the writers did a fantastic job keeping fans on the edge of their seats. After the Season 3 finale, there is no telling what will pop up in Season 4.
