The season 3 finale of "Revenge" was shocking and a lot of things happened that were not expected. Even though fans will have a while to wait before season 4 begins airing, the producers have given some hints on what is coming next. On Tuesday, Variety published what executive producers Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts had to say about what is coming next for Emily and the rest of the characters.

The most memorable moment in the finale was finding out that Emily's father, David Clarke, is really alive. Fans speculated that he would return, but now there are so many questions about his character. David's return is going to affect Emily. Even though she loved her father so much that she has spent her life avenging his wrongful conviction and death, how will she feel about him being alive? All those years she spent suffering and her father was alive all that time.

The executive producers said that Emily is going to have to start confronting who Amanda Clarke is. Not only will Emily's world be rocked by David's "resurrection," but everyone else is going to be impacted as well. Viewers remember Victoria telling Emily that the father she remembers and the man that Victoria knew were two different people. Spoiler reports have stated that even Victoria is going to be surprised at the man who returns. In fact, David will cause a lot of problems and Variety wrote,

"... he’s the common denominator between Emily and her nemesis, Victoria, and both women have very complex histories with the exonerated terrorist."

Fans are also wondering what will happen with Victoria. On the season finale, she was thrown into a mental health facility, a victory for Emily. When the show returns, she will get out and if Emily thought she was dangerous before, she hasn't seen anything yet. Harberts said,

“She’s done terrible things, she’s obviously a very wounded and messed up character, but at the end of the day, when she manages to get out, she’s going to be setting her sights on Emily. That’s going to be quite a drive, because we did see how Victoria reacted when ‘Amanda Clarke’ was out in the world, and she was bad to her … but when she actually takes stock of all the horribly awful things Emily has done and all the chaos she’s rained down on the Grayson family, she’s gonna be pissed, and she’ll come out swinging. As Emily is trying to create a new, more positive life for herself, as she tries to move forward, Victoria is going to be coming up behind her.”

Aiden died on the season 3 finale of "Revenge," but the producers promised that the next season will honor his memory. They also hinted that the door is open for Emily and Jack to reconcile. Harberts revealed that Emily asking herself who Amanda Clarke is and how can she return to that person, Jack will play a huge role in that.

"Revenge" season 4 will air on ABC in fall 2014. What do you think is going to happen when the show returns? How do you think Emily will deal with finding out her father is alive?
