The season 3 finale of "Revenge" was shocking and now fans are wondering what will happen next season. One question that keeps popping up is how Emily will deal with the return of her father, David Clarke. Today, June 11, WetPaint reported some details on what to expect in "Revenge" season 4.

Now that fans know for certain that David Clarke is alive, how is Emily going to deal with this? She might be thrilled that her father is not dead, but all those years that she spent suffering. Not only that, but how wills he feel that he never once came looking for her? Or is one of the reasons for his return because of Amanda Clarke being dead? While viewers know that Emily Thorne is really Amanda Clarke, her father might not. He might really believe that his daughter is dead.

So this brings up the question of if Emily will tell David who she really is. Executive producer Aaron Harberts told TV Guide that as viewers get to know more about her, she is going to have to deal with issues. Those issues being the things she has done and cleaning up the messes with those who took care of her. It turns out that Jack is going to be in the middle of her journey.

Other "Revenge" season 4 spoilers include Aidan's memory being honored, but the door to Emily and Jack reconciling will be open. However, that doesn't mean they will get together right away. Having them together romantically is going to take time and a lot of work. The executive producer explained,

"There are the shows where you get those two characters together and it's considered a series ender because people aren't as invested. Other shows set up romantic triangles where they've all been together and you're bobbing back and forth. Honestly, I don't think we know which way is right to go with Revenge. Our gut says to keep building [their relationship] and earning it."

Aaron also said that to do it successfully, they need to deepen and reconnect the characters so that it is believable. He believes that the only way for them to come together is for Emily to embrace who she used to be. It won't be easy for her, it is going to be a huge step.

What do you think is going to happen on season 4 of "Revenge?" Will Emily tell her father that she is Amanda Clarke? How will she deal with his return? What do you think is going to happen with Emily and Jack's relationship?
