"Revenge" fans were surprised when David Clarke appeared on the season 3 finale. Avenging his wrongful imprisonment and death was what Emily was fighting for all these years. Now that he has shown up alive, will he be the same man that Emily remembers? According to a May 28 report by Enstars, he will not be the same.

David Clarke, played by James Tupper, will not be the same man Emily or anyone else remembers. Victoria did tell Emily that her childhood version of David was not the same man she knew. But spoiler reports are saying that he will even be changed in Victoria's eyes, which doesn't sound good for his enemies.

So how will he be changed and will this affect how Emily views him? It's hard to predict how Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) will react to her father being alive. One part of her will be overjoyed at having him back. On the other hand, will she be confused and maybe even angry that she spent all that time alone, being an orphan in the state's custody?

David Clarke's first item on his list was to kill Conrad Grayson (Henry Czerny.) Even though it has been teased that Conrad isn't actually dead, fans will have to wait for the "Revenge" season 4 premiere to find out for sure. Executive producer Sunil Nayar told E!,

"He [David Clarke] is, of anybody that can come walking into the Hamptons, he is the game changer and we felt the best way to bring him back to the Hamptons is when we reintroduce him, you realize this man is no longer about forgiveness, that revenge has become a part of his makeup."

But that isn't all. It was also revealed that David Clarke's return to the Hamptons will also open up an "entirely new can of worms." Nayar teased that the man that both Emily and Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) thought they knew, isn't the person that he is at all. Everybody is going to want to know where he has been and what he has been doing.

One question fans have been asking is why David killed Conrad first before finding his daughter. In the comments section of a TV Line article, a fan brought up a good point. His daughter is Amanda Clarke and she is deceased. Even though Emily Thorne is the real Amanda Clarke, David might not know that. Perhaps he will try to get justice for his daughter's "death?"

What do you think David Clarke's storyline will be on "Revenge" season 4? How will Emily handle her father actually being alive?
