"Revenge" fans knew for quite some time that Emily was going to be shot on her wedding day, but it came as a total shock that Daniel was the one to pull the trigger. On Dec. 22, Hollywood Hills revealed some spoilers for the second half of season 3.

When the second half of season 3 airs in January 2014, nearly everyone in Emily's life is going to go through some changes and Emily herself is actually going to have no memory of it, but showrunner Sunil Nayar has reassured fans that the way it will be done is "extremely satisfying." The first three episodes are also going to show a "real humanization" of her. The showrunner said,
“She’s a person who’s been created by circumstance, and so we’ve tried to explore in the first half of this season what her mission has turned her into in some ways. And then answering who shot her and why, we wanted, in the second half of the season, to really answer the humanity of Emily Thorne, to get back to the girl that was destroyed by what the Graysons did, to get back to the family that destroyed her."
As viewers remember, Aiden was supposed to leave the Hamptons with Emily, but now that she has been shot, she will have to stick around for a bit. He will also have a woman from his past that will show up. There is no telling what kind of person this is, but knowing "Revenge," it will probably be someone who will complicate things.
Victoria had suspicions about Emily and now she knows that some of those were correct. Knowing her, she will use that to her full advantage and pull out each card only at specific times, which could make Emily's life very difficult and could definitely ruin things for her.
Daniel will have some regrets about shooting her new wife, but it was clear to see that he was distraught at what he discovered. The experience will harden him and others won't be able to take advantage of him so easily in the future.
According to TV Line, Jack will ease up on Emily after the shooting because he will realize that it was his ultimatum that caused her to get into that position.
"Revenge" season 3 will return to ABC on Jan. 5.
