When we left “Revenge” at its midseason finale, there were some strange goings on, not the least of which were Emily Thorne’s blackouts and waking up to find herself in Conrad Grayson’s bed. Now there’s word, thanks to a Feb. 9 report by Latin Times, that when we return, Charlotte Grayson will have a new love interest. There are more season 3 spoilers ahead.
No doubt Conrad will be using Emily’s blackout to blackmail her. Whether or not Daniel is helping his father remains to be seen but given his current feelings toward Emily, it wouldn’t be much of a stretch.
Henri Esteve will be joining the cast as Javier Charlotte’s love interest. Christa B. Allen, who plays Charlotte, describes him as: "He's a bit of a bad boy that comes on and links Charlotte to Nolan.” His character is said to be a hacker from the wrong side of the tracks who met Nolan while Nolan was serving his prison sentence. Javier will finish out his house arrest at Nolan’s place. It will be through Nolan the two meet. Javier will be the first love interest for Charlotte since Declan’s death at the end of season 2.
The relationship is bound to stir tension between Charlotte and Victoria as the matriarch will not approve of her daughter dating someone with a record. Victoria will have other fish to fry as well. The photograph has stirred her to action. She needs to know who Emily is and why she is there.
Show runner Sunil Nayyar says:
“She was looking for just one piece of information. So she doesn’t have any idea that Emily is Amanda Clark at this point in time. But she definitely knows that this woman is not on the level and that some of her suspicions are completely correct, which gives Victoria a great engine going into the second half of the season where she now has the power in the relationship, which she hasn’t had.”
Victoria will also be dealing with the return of Conrad’s first wife, Stevie.
"Revenge" returns Sunday, March 9 on ABC.
If that isn’t enough, the rest of the season will also bring us more background on Aiden. Through flashbacks will learn more about how he came to be the person he is, including scenes of him as a 12 year old boy.
