With the season 3 finale of “Revenge” just a few weeks away, fans are clamoring for details and Emily VanCamp shared a humdinger. According to an April 7 report on International Business Times, the actress who plays central character Emily Thorne let slip that a major death is coming in the finale.

The episode title “Execution” will air in a few weeks. VanCamp said this in an interview about the episode:

"Today, I was sobbing over the death of one of our characters," VanCamp said. "Then I'm going to do a massive fight sequence. You sort of put yourself through these emotional journeys."

The obvious question is which character could it be? Some outlets are surmising that the only ones who might make Emily cry would be Nolan Ross, her trusted friend or Jack Porter, her childhood love. Of course, Emily knows that Charlotte Grayson is really her half-sister. Charlotte’s character has meandered through the season without much of anything to do. She could go and that would certainly impact Emily.

Another option might be more personal. The quote says ‘she’ cried, not her character. Could it be that boyfriend Josh Bowman who plays Daniel Grayson is getting killed off? Though the two characters are at odds in the series, VanCamp could have been reacting to the idea that she won’t get to work with her boyfriend anymore. Bowman has said he has lobbied for his character’s death in the series.

The 'massive fight sequence' could have something to do with the character’s response to whoever dies but that is just supposition on our part.

The finale, “Execution” was written by Sunil Nayar and will air Sunday May 11.

Who do you think will die in the season 3 finale of “Revenge?”
