Emily: “Love built on lies is an arduous endeavor, wherever passion and treachery meet, dissolution begins. Still, we fight to hold our ground in the emptiness, ignoring the fact that every relationship, even the ones we cherish, inevitably dies.”

Nolan comes clean to Jack about knowing Emily’s secret the entire time. This is something that isn’t an obvious secret to the viewers. It’s forgotten that Nolan has been hiding this from Jack. Nolan’s reveal does some great things. First, it gives Nolan a chance to speak his mind about what it has been like helping Emily all this time. Viewers are constantly in Emily’s world, and sometimes what others go through is forgotten because the main thing on people’s minds involves what Emily is going through. This is a great character episode for Nolan. Honestly, Jack doesn’t really go through all that much. He and Nolan get a little bit closer, which is nice. What did you think of Nolan during this episode?
We are getting to that point again where it becomes difficult to follow what exactly Emily is doing to the Graysons. She is manipulating Conrad and also Victoria or other people are interfering with her plans for the other. It’s a giant, confusing mess. Hopefully, by having Emily open up to Jack and Nolan about her plans on August 8th, the viewers will get clued in a little bit more. Still, that doesn’t truly solve the confusing scheming that happens in this episode, but maybe it will help simplify things for future episodes. Are you surprised that Emily’s plan is to have Victoria framed for her murder? What do you think of this plan?
Charlotte, surprisingly, is doing some scheming of her own. She all of a sudden is determined to end Daniel and Emily's marriage. Her way of doing this is to get Daniel back together with Sarah. It is nice seeing Charlotte have an actual storyline again. Normally she is just there and in everyone’s way or she is off to the side by herself. Charlotte’s motives are interesting. It seems she mainly doesn’t like Emily. It’s unclear how much she has taken into account Daniel’s happiness. Obviously by choosing to try to get him back together with Sarah, Charlotte does want Daniel to be happy, but she doesn’t think about whether or not Emily makes him happy. Are you enjoying seeing Charlotte scheme?
