Emily: “I’ve looked forward to this day since I was a little girl. Thank you for letting me into your life, into your family. Through you, I’ve become the woman I’ve always wanted to be, needed to be.”

The big shocking moment of the episode is Daniel. He spends the entire wedding drinking away his feelings, making himself numb. When he hears Sarah tried to kill herself, he loses it. By the way, is the Sarah suicide attempt necessary? It does help push Daniel over the edge, I suppose, but I just don’t like it. Anyways, Daniel shoots Emily, and seems to have no remorse whatsoever. It’s definitely a different side of Daniel, and watching him react and handle this for the second half of the season will be interesting. Did Daniel surprise you?
Honestly, the emotion is lacking in this episode. There should have been more in there, and it felt like that is what the writers tried to have. Between Emily saying goodbye to everyone and the wedding, there were opportunities for a lot. The only moment that comes close is Nolan saying goodbye to Emily as they dance. It was touching. Other than that, anything close to an emotion moment did not have any weight. Emily’s goodbye to Jack did not even bring up any feelings. The decision to have Emily tell Jack about her being there when Amanda died is strange. It does nothing really for Emily and Jack’s relationship except take away a potentially sweet moment.
