Emily: “Victory can never be achieved alone. Allegiances must be forged to overcome superior forces. Some born from a shared goals, others out of desperate need. But for a union to succeed, one must determine if an ally is truly a friend, or merely an enemy in disguise.”

Emily has found her latest target: Luke Gilliam. Right from the start, it seemed like Emily stumbled upon him too easily, so the fact that Victoria orchestrated it all was not as surprising. It is great to see the red sharpie again. A takedown helps show progress. Recently Emily has been slowly waging war, and so there aren't clear victories. Jack’s involvement in this is fantastic. The writers have done a good job with Jack and his motives as far as why he is helping out more. The Grayson keep messing with his family.
Aiden and Nolan have their own side project this episode. The most entertaining thing about it is the two of them bonding. The reveal that Aiden’s dad was murdered isn't really that shocked. It was expected. That being said, the writers do a good job with Oscar by having him connect more of the dots. Aiden’s dad gave Oscar the story. Oscar took it to Pascal. Pascal shot Aiden’s dad. This storyline helps viewers understand more of how everyone is connected. Are you loving Aiden and Nolan’s growing bromance?
Victoria proves how cunning she is in this episode. It is great that the writers are revealing just how much of a threat Victoria is. Sure, she has caused Emily trouble in the past, but nothing like this. Victoria figures out Emily’s game book right down the sharpie and photo. Okay, so Victoria uses the wrong color sharpie. She still has much to learn. It will be interesting to see Victoria does now that she has figured out Emily’s true target.
Charlotte is super, super pushy. I get it, you want to help your new boyfriend get the best deal but chill out. Charlotte acts as if she has some personal gain or ulterior motive in getting Javier to sign with Daniel and not work with Nolan. Either the writers needed to have a line where she says something that reveals more than just best wishes for Javier, or they needed to have toned her down a bit. If Daniel was coming on that strong, it would make sense. Did anyone else think Charlotte needed to take it down a notch?
Speaking of Javier, it is great that the writers continually show his loyalty to Nolan. They are brothers. Javier mentions this numerous times in response to Daniel’s offer or Charlotte’s insistence. Javier and Nolan’s relationship was iffy when it was first introduced, but during this episode, it began to really take shape. Nolan’s conversation about how he sees himself in Javier really helps. It isn't hard to root for Javier to stay loyal to Nolan, and not just because of the Grayson factor.
Emily and Jack are childhood sweethearts. The first season reminds viewers of this constantly. Since then, it hasn't happened too much. Recently, the writers have started to show more of them as friends. They have honest and open conversations about their relationships with other people. This is a good way to start rekindling the passion in the Emily and Jack shippers. The writers aren't providing scenes with random sexual tension, but instead, they are playing the smarter angle and showing how Emily and Jack work. Plus, sometimes it is great having moments where Emily talks about things other than revenge.
Any theories on what Victoria’s next move will be? I don’t know about you, but I am super looking forward to seeing Nolan at war with Daniel. Leave me your thoughts in a comment below.
