It was time for Emily to “Surrender” to her love for Aiden when “Revenge” aired its 9th episode of the season on Sunday, Dec. 8. In one of the sweeter moments from the show, Emily accepted a proposal from Aiden and they made plans for their post-Graysons life.
As for the wedding, Emily thinks Daniel wants to keep her pregnancy a secret so Sara won’t find out and leave him.
Lydia Davis, who has returned and paid a surprise call on Victoria, makes a grand entrance as Emily and Victoria are finalizing the seating chart. Lydia has notices Conrad’s clothes are absent, scenting trouble in the Grayson marriage. Victoria tries to assuage Lydia by explaining that she went back on their deal because her children were in danger. Lydia and Emily have a bit of a push and shove that lands Emily on the floor. Daniel fawns over her until Victoria has had enough and tells him to stop. He blurts out that Emily is pregnant and Victoria is silently livid.
Sara isn’t buying Daniel’s protestations that things are too complicated right now and she wants out. Charlotte wants to fix things though and talks to her brother who confesses his feelings for Sara.
On their way to a doctor’s appointment, Emily and Daniel are swarmed by the press. Daniel thinks Emily leaked the news but she reminds him the only person they told was Victoria.
When Daniel speaks to Victoria, she lets him know that Emily knows about his night with Sara. Daniel doesn’t care; he is still marrying Emily.
Sara has learned about the pregnancy and confronts Daniel. She drops the necklace he gave her into the water and says goodbye. Charlotte realizes the damage her meddling caused and vows to stop. She urges Victoria to stop as well.
Jack discovers a file on Conrad in Margaux’s possession and asks Nolan to help get her off Conrad’s trail. He obliges and when she asks Jack about his own involvement with Conrad, he tells her Conrad is responsible for his wife’s and brother’s deaths. She finally realizes how serious this is and agrees to back off the story for Jack’s safety.
Lydia baits Conrad with the promise of another story about him for Time. He comes to her room and is very interested in rekindling things with her. She records their conversation.
Moving forward with her plan to frame Victoria for her own death, Emily steals one of her bracelets. She wants it covered in gunshot residue to help seal her fate.
Daniel tells Em that what went on with Sara is over and he’s “all in” with Emily and their baby.
Lydia gets the chance to look through some old photos of Conrad’s and finds a copy of the picture she had before, the one that shows a brunette Emily Thorne posing as part of the wait staff at a Grayson affair. If she uses the photo, it could ruin everything.
In the biggest upset of the evening, Victoria stops by Emily’s place to inform her she’d fond a place for Nolan at the main table for the we3dding. She hands her the RSVP card and tells Emily that Nolan can have Victoria’s spot because she won’t be attending. It will be pretty hard to frame Victoria if she isn’t even there.
