Emily and Aiden talk about her kiss with Daniel. Aiden’s not happy about it and Emily says that she has to do it to get intel on Helen. Aiden tells her about his meeting with Helen and what she wants.
Declan confronts the Ryan brothers about what they did. Nate warns him to stay out of it and that he won’t let up until they sell the bar. He offers Declan a $1 bill for the bar and warns him to not mess with him. After Nate leaves, Kenny tries to offer him advice but Declan tells him he doesn’t want his advice.
Emily goes to meet with Daniel. He goes to kiss her and she is surprised. She tells him that she wants to take things slow. They start talking about her charity event and Daniel gets a file and has to end the meeting so he can call Helen. Outside, Emily eavesdrops in on the call and learns about the company that the Helen wants Daniel to buy. She calls and tells Victoria.
Amanda meets with Jack and she wants to get money from Emily or Nolan to bail him out but Jack says he doesn’t want to involve anyone else.
A man named Jason is at the Grayson house. He is rival of Conrad. She leans that Daniel is looking into buying a small company and tells Conrad that she will use Jason to sabotage Daniel.
Ashley meets with Conrad with a proposition. She wants to be hired for the Grayson’s again. She says that it would be in their better benefit to hire her because she knows all of their secrets and she says that he could use her skills for his political run.
Emily meets with Daniel again and says that she got everyone in his board but Helen to go. Helen then calls and Emily realizes that Daniel’s office has been bugged. Daniel lets Emily talk to Helen and she hints that Aiden is going to be at the charity event, which she knows will drag her out. Helen agrees to go to the event.
Padma shows up and asks Nolan for her job back because she said she can’t be away from him. He gives it to her and Marco doesn’t seem pleased.
Declan goes to visit Jack and Jack tells him about why the Ryan brothers are going after them.
At the charity event, Daniel and Jason have a bidding war over a bottle of wine, and Daniel comes out on top with a $1 million bid. While he’s distracted, Aiden and Helen talk. Emily sees this and she gets nervous.
Charlotte talks with Amanda about how Declan has been avoiding her. Amanda says that it’s because Declan is just trying to protect her from the Ryan brothers. She then admits to her what they did. She says that they should go to her parents for help.
Daniel meets up with Helen and they talk about the company. He says he’s not too sure about investing. She tells him that he should be decisive if he wants to do better then Conrad as CEO.
Padma shows up late to the charity event. She tells Nolan that it was because Marco kept her there working. She also mentions that Marco was on the phone with Daniel talking about a Karina file.
On their way out, Aiden and Helen get knocked out in an elevator.
Amanda and Charlotte go to see Conrad and ask him to help Jack. He declines saying that it wouldn’t be in his best interest to get involved. Amanda brings up how she never asked for anything even after she almost died there, but Conrad reminds her of the large sum of money she wanted for David’s journal. He tells her to leave and to stay away from Charlotte. Before leaving, Amanda says she will stay away before swiping his gold watch from his desk.
When Aiden and Helen wake up, they are in a warehouse tied to chairs. A person dressed in black and with a voice changer starts asking questions about the company but Aiden comes to Helen’s rescuse. They are able to escape. A second person dressed in black comes out shooting at them as they leave. When they are gone, the person takes off the mask to reveal that it’s Nolan. He then takes off the person who was shot’s mask to show that it’s Emily.
Amanda meets with a gun in an alley way and exchanges the gold watch for a gun.
As Aiden and Helen run down the alley from the warehouse, she tells Aiden she thinks she knows who it was that kidnapped them before leaving him.
Charlotte goes to visit Declan and he apologizes for not calling her. She says she understands before turning her attention to Carl.
Victoria and Jason leave the event and have a drink outside on the terrace. There she lets ‘slip’ that Daniel is looking to buy a small company. After Victoria leaves him, she hears him making a call to his people to look into the company.
Amanda confronts Nate and is about to pull the gun out on him when Ashley comes and takes her to Jack, who got out on bail. He is in the apartment with Conrad. Conrad apologizes for what he did earlier to Amanda and admits that he’s helping them get rid of the Ryan brothers so that it will look better for his political career. Jack and Amanda aren’t sure to accept it.
Nolan confronts Marco and brings up a ghost email that shows a correspondence with Daniel about Karina file. Nolan fires Marco even though he denies it.
Emily and Aiden talk on the phone and he tells her that Helen bought the act. He then tells her to stop the façade with Daniel and she says until they know for sure about Helen, then they will keep on the path they are. When Daniel shows up, they start to drink the wine, but they both spit it out. Aiden shows up, much to Emily’s surprise and dismay. He acts like he’s getting his things, but it’s obvious that he’s trying to keep tabs on her.
Padma calls Helen and tells her that Nolan has the file for Karina and Helen tells her to try and get it.
Things we learned/new questions
-Padma is working for the Initiative
-Conrad is now going to be helping Jack get the Ryan brothers---expect this to have an impact on the sinking of the Amanda.
-Daniel is looking to tie all lose ends with Emily and she appears to want to keep him at arm’s length (though next week’s promo didn’t seem to look that way anymore)
-Aiden and Emily’s relationship is taking a strain with the more time she spends with Daniel (and looks about ready to break in the promo)
-What is Helen’s interest in this new company? What is it that they have that she wants?
-Who is that Helen thinks kidnapped her and Aiden?
-Even though Marco has been fired, I don’t expect this to be the last time we see him. He seemed sincere in wanting to mend bridges with Nolan and I think that he’s going to try and prove that Padma is the bad seed not him.
