Reuben Kincaid of 'The Partridge Family' dies at 82

Actor Dave Madden from “The Partridge Family,” a TV sitcom hit from the 70s, died at 82. Madden died at a hospice center located in the Jacksonville, Fla. area, according to Fox News reports on Jan. 16.

The TV star was best known as “Reuben Kincaid,” the band manager for “The Partridge Family” with co-stars Shirley Jones, David Cassidy, Susan Dey, Danny Bonaduce, Suzanne Crough and Brian Forster; the show ran from September 25, 1970 to March 23, 1974.

The show portrayed a divorced mother of five talented children who hired a band manager to help book singing engagements; the family drove a repainted school bus while on road tour events.

In 2007, the “Reuben Kincaid” actor published a memoir titled, “Reuben on Wry: The Memoirs of Dave Madden.”

Dave Madden is survived by a son and daughter – both from his first marriage with Nena Arnold whom he divorced from in 1985 – along with second wife, Sandy Martin.
