A Lake Havasu City, AZ, couple watching television was interrupted when their son pointed out what appeared to be 8 to 10 jets chasing a boomerang-shaped UFO on August 16, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

They report that the jet aircraft used "extremely bright, strobing lights" as they flew north of their location at high speed moving east to west. The jets then turned around and moved back, flying east to west. But during this return trip, the couple noticed "a bright red light ahead of the conventional aircraft."

"At one point the red light made an abrupt and complete stop and then changed directions flying back in the direction it came from," the reporting witness stated. "The other aircraft made their turns and began following."

Just when they lost sight of both the jets and the red light - about 30 seconds later - they watched a "triangle shaped object with a deep red light in the center" come toward them from the direction that the jets had flown and move overhead. A few minutes later, the jets returned, following the UFO.

What stood out at this moment - was the silence of the UFO.

"The triangle shaped object made no sound as it flew overhead, yet we could hear the conventional aircraft as they flew by."

The couple watched the UFO as compared to the conventional jets.

"Over the next several minutes the aircraft (UFO) continued to maneuver around the airspace near the city at extreme speeds, my wife, son and myself all witnessed changes in speed (including full stops), direction and altitude which are not possible with currently known technologies."

After 30 to 45 minutes, all of the aircraft moved out of the area.

Lake Havasu is not new to UFO reports. The UFO Examiner has covered several similar sightings in this area, including:

March 18, 2009: Military jets chase UFO over AZ town

July 3, 2009 sighting: Disc-shaped UFO videotaped over Lake Havasu, Arizona

April 1, 2010 sighting: New triangle UFO over Lake Havasu, AZ

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or man made. If Arizona MUFON State Director Christine Dickey investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.

AZ, August 16, 2010 - Boomerang shaped craft making dramatic turns at extreme speeds. MUFON Case # 25118.

My wife and I were watching TV in our bedroom when our oldest son came in and told us to look outside at the sky.We got up and went out onto our balcony to see several, maybe 8-10 aircraft with extremely bright strobing lights on them. They were north of us flying EXTREMELY fast from east to west. Then once nearly out of sight they turned and came back towards the east. When flying from east to west we witnessed a bright red light ahead of the conventional aircraft. At one point the red light made an abrupt and complete stop and then changed directions flying back in the direction it came from. The other aircraft made their turns and began following. We lost sight of them , then within 30 seconds or so a triangle shaped object with a deep red light in the center came flying directly overhead from the direction the jets left in, followed minutes later by the group of jets again. The triangle shaped object made no sound as it flew overhead, yet we could hear the conventional aircraft as they flew by. Over the next several minutes the aircraft continued to maneuver around the airspace near the city at extreme speeds, my wife , son and myself all witnessed changes in speed (including full stops), direction and altitude which are not possible with currently known technologies. After 30-45 minutes the aircraft all flew over the horizon.

This is not our first sighting here in Lake Havasu City. We had a very similar experience in May of this year, still my first thought was to try and rationalize the aircraft as being of a conventional nature. The feelings were excitement, fear and frustration at not knowing exactly what it was we were seeing.

Do I have to be a member to see related videos/photos? Or, do they not exist?

Just confused. Seems like everyone in these days has some sort of camera attached to their phones............

OK, I was dubious of the value of this thing called "The Examiner" but this article proves its is not real journalism.

Never a camera when you need one. I saw 5 in 1967 for about 40 minutes and had no camera. Well, in those days....

No cameras? Come on! Everyone has a cellphone with a camera in it these days.
