Organized by designer and model Summer Jackson, March of the Zombies is an annual celebration of local fashion designers and music, combining edgy new styles and all the creativity that comes from embracing the zombie apocalypse. This year marks the fifth installment in the annual fashion show.

Come see March of the Zombies V, this Saturday, March 9th, at the Grizzly Rock, West 6th Ave. and Sheridan in Lakewood, Colorado for an evening of killer fashions and the undead. Doors open at 7 p.m. to all ages and the cover is $10.

The models of March of the Zombies are decked out in high fashion and unique new looks... and gore. Every year visual effects artists do their best to dismantle the beautiful models and turn them into flesh-hungry monsters, adorning them with blood, guts, and all the trappings of zombiehood before they take to the runway. The zombie effects makeup is the perfect pairing for the daring, zombie-inspired fashions of the designers.

It's not all visual arts at the annual March of the Zombies. Some of Denver's finest bands take part in the festivities. This year headlining the show is Reno Divorce, and joining in are Flash Mob, Fallen & Forgotten, and Lost Point. Matt Fink and DJ Cysco will accompany the fashion show itself with live beats.

The audience will be immersed in zombie-inspired art from all sides, as the fashion show and concert is preceded by a zombie art and apparel showcase. Visual artists, designers, authors, and more will sell their zombie-themed and one-of-a-kind wares.

All proceeds from the show will go to the foundation development of Creative to Bless (C2B), a nonprofit aimed at enriching local arts by offering creative development programs and exposure to audiences and opportunities.

Be there or be undead this Saturday at the Grizzly Rock in Lakewood for the fifth annual March of the Zombies fashion show and concert.

Stay informed, stay alive: The Grizzly Rock is located at West 6th Avenue & Sheridan Boulevard in Lakewood, CO. The March of the Zombies is an annual event. Visit the MOTZ home page for more details and photos.
