Retro City Rampage coming this May to just about everything

The long-awaited but still highly-anticipated Retro City Rampage is getting another place to call home as Brian Provinciano of VBlank announced that the game was getting both a PS Vita and a Playstation 3 version.  The retro-tinged open world game (think Grand Theft Auto III mixed with an 8-bit fever dream of every great NES game that you remember) will be coming this May to just about every current dedicated gaming console or handheld that is worth mentioning at this point since it was already known that it was coming to Xbox Live Arcade, WiiWare and PC.

What was not revealed by Proviciano and plenty of people surely want to know is if the Vita and PS3 versions of Retro City Rampage will be compatibility with each other.  While bigger production games like Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 might suffer in the translation, a game like RCR with its retro style would work great both at home in an HDTV and on the road with the Vita.
