Retirement Party for Captain Mike Revere Ladder Truck 5 (Photos)

Captain Mike Revere stated his career in 1983 as a firefighter and worked his way to the position of captain on the Mobile Fire Rescue Department.

Captain Mike Revere has spent his last few years on the fire department as captain on ladder truck 5 third shift at Tapia Fire Station located at 4701 Airport Boulevard.

Captain Reveres last day at the fire station was on Tuesday January 8, 2013 and the men on his crew along with the help of Captains Mikes wife planned a retirement party complete with cake, sodas, snack food, and a plaque with a pick axe, helmet number, bronze head with helmet, and an inscription of appreciation for his service to the city of Mobile.

The retirement party started at 4:00PM at Tapia Fire Station in the engine room of where truck 5 is parked and there were plenty of friends and coworkers that showed up to help Captain Revere celebrate his retirement from 30 years of service with the city of Mobile Fire Rescue Department.

After the retirement party Captain Revere stayed on-duty to finish the rest of his shift then hang up his fire jacket, helmet, and bunker pants for the last time to leave in the morning at 7:00AM on Wednesday January 9, 2013 to start his retirement and hopefully live a long time to enjoy it.
