After a few days of rain, the sky cleared and the sun came out for 125 entrants to get a jump start on the show season at the 21st Annual Covered Bridge Pony Club Combined Test held yesterday at Stone Place Stables in Prospect, Kentucky.
The CBPC Combined Test is a sanctioned event governed by the Midsouth Eventing and Dressage Association. Competitors were able to compete in divisions ranging from Walk/Trot to Preliminary. Click here to see the results of the show.
A Combined Test is a shortened version of a Horse Trial, testing Dressage and Stadium Jumping, leaving out the cross country phase.
Covered Bridge Pony Club was founded in 1972 by Joy Post Bennett and includes the participating barns:
- Stone Place Stables
- Hidden Bridge Farm
- Alta Vista Farm
- Spring Run Farm
Held annually, the Combined Test is a fundraiser for the pony club and has served as a kick-off to show season.
