More than 20 Virginia wineries are participating in the Great Grapes Wine and Food Festival in Reston, Va., from 12 noon to 6 p.m. on Sat., April 26 and Sun., April 27, at the Reston Town Center. The weekend event is designed to celebrated the rich heritage of Virginia wine making.
Attendees will be able to sample over 200 different wines from wineries such as Prince Michel and Horton, which have each been producing award winning wines for more than three decades. There will also be the opportunity to attend cooking demonstrations, shop among the exhibiting artists and craftsman, and enjoy live entertainment.
Acura is one of the festival's major sponsors and has included the event as part of its "Driven by Passion" multi-city tour to promote the automaker's 2014 RLX luxury sedan as well as the soon to be released RLX Sport Hybrid. A closed course will be available for free test drives.
Tickets for the festival are $28 per day when purchased in advance online and $33 on-site. Attendees will receive a souvenir wine glass and unlimited wine samples. A portion of each ticket sale will benefit the Spirit of Hope Children's Foundation.
