Beginning March 6, 2011 and continuing through March 24, 2011, you can bid on $100 gift certificates from over 200 restaurants participating in Restaurant Week Boston. Restaurants are located in Boston, Cambridge and the surrounding suburbs. Proceeds from the auction go to benefit the Women’s Lunch Place.
The auction coincides with Boston’s winter Restaurant Week which takes place March 6, 2011 – March 11, 2011 and March 13, 2011 – March 18, 2011. In addition to receiving proceeds from the auction, the Women’s Lunch Place will also receive .25 per transaction up to $5,000 when diners use any American Express card at participating restaurants.
If you’re planning on eating at several restaurants during Restaurant Week Boston and will be using an American Express card, register your card to receive a $20 gift card. To receive your gift card you will need to eat at three or more participating restaurants and spend a total of $150 or more.
Restaurants will be serving a 2-course lunch for $15.11, a 3-course lunch for $20.11, and a 3-course dinner for $33.11. Check the list of participating restaurants to see which restaurants are serving which meals, and which restaurants take online reservations through Open Table. This list also provides links to each restaurant’s menus for lunch and dinner if available.
By clicking on the More Info link under the restaurant’s name you can also find out which days of the week a restaurant serves each course. As an example, 606 Congress at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel serves its pris fixe lunch Monday – Friday and its prix fixe dinner Monday – Friday and Sunday. However Asana at the Mandarin Oriental, serves its prix fixe lunch and dinner Monday – Sunday. Also do not assume that a restaurant with multiple locations has the same offerings at each location. For example, Capital Grille on Newbury Street and in Chestnut Hill will only be serving dinner during restaurant week, while Capital Grille Burlington will be serving a 3-course lunch as well as dinner.
