Restaurant's job fair scheduled for Monday in Allentown

Hamilton Kitchen & Bar, an upscale restaurant that will serve American cuisine and will operate directly across from Allentown’s downtown hockey arena—the PPL Center; new home of the minor league Phantoms—is hosting a job fair.

Expected to open in July, the establishment, will occupy the ground floor of Two City Center; the 11 story building at 645 Hamilton Street.

The City Center building is fully leased and home to National Penn Bancshares headquarters, offices for Air Product, Lehigh Gas, Buckno & Lisicky, RLB Accounting, and Cenduit; a North Carolina based clinical trial company.

The building's premier restaurant tenant, Hamilton Kitchen & Bar, has at least 80 job positions available at the 8,000 square foot exquisite dining facility.

This employment fest is one day only and will be held at the restaurant’s location from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday. The job fair is seeking to fill all positions with new people and the offerings are for the standard positions of host, bartenders, servers, line cooks and a beverage manager.

Additionally because the restaurant is upscale, other positions for employment include stewards, craft bartenders, bar porters, and server assistants (bus staff).

The fair is open to everyone and management hopes that many locals will attend. However, anyone that is unable to show up, and still interested in employment can contact the restaurant directly at 610-443-3535.

The establishment, which is the brainchild of Donny Petridis, the co-founder of both the Blue and Melt restaurants, announced last week that Jason Lonigro, a 13 year veteran in Emeril Lagasse’s eateries, will manage this fabulous dining experience in center city Allentown.
