On last night's Food Network episode of "Restaurant: Impossible," Robert Irvine went to Plains, Mont. to help save a restaurant named Heather’s Country Kitchen in this episode titled, “Clueless in the Country.”

Robert came to meet with Heather and Bob Worrall, who spotted the for-sale sign in the window of the restaurant three years ago. Bob always loved Heather’s cooking and baking, and when she decided to do this, he was all for it. She went from a stay-at-home mom to a business owner in one day. She had five kids at home; Bob worked on the road, was home only one weekend a month, and she took over this task without thinking twice.

When Robert walked in, he was not impressed. When he met with the couple, he found out that they had no prior restaurant experience and paid $250,000 for it. They only paid off $20,000 and have to use savings to pay bills for the restaurant. Fortunately, Bob’s job is keeping them afloat for now, but not much longer.

As the lunch service started, the customers were not at all impressed by the food. In the kitchen, Heather had tears in her eyes at every comment Robert made; and he was not even yelling. Then Robert tried a few of the items. He hated the salad, frozen mac & cheese, meatloaf, cheese steak and frozen fried chicken.

When Lynn came in, he was not impressed with the décor, and called it country gone wrong. He has a lot of ideas, so they emptied the entire restaurant for the redo.

Robert gathered the staff to see who does what tasks in the restaurant. It seems that everyone does something, but Heather. He found out that the two daughters who work in the restaurant were at odds. One daughter Jackie, who is back after going to live with her biological father is not on the same plain with her sister Courtney and their mother. Now it is up to Robert to sew the family back together.

In the restaurant, things are coming together and the country look is coming through. The new floor is beautiful; the one wall has several birdhouses, in keeping with the country theme.

When Robert met with the family, Heather did her homework, and gave her plan going forward. Her two daughters want the restaurant to thrive and expect their mother to be a leader.

Now Robert has to design the menu around the equipment available in the kitchen. He showed them two great menu items that he loved. The staff was delighted at how quickly these were made, and they looked like they took all day.

When Robert gave Heather an example of how money disappears, he used a bowl of apples, as the crew walked by, they each took one, and she never noticed them disappear. Now she knows how she must keep an eye on everything in the restaurant and double check.

When the couple saw the new restaurant, they were astounded at the design and the two daughters were in tears. Lynn and Tom did an awesome job. When Heather walked outside, there was a huge crowd waiting to be seated.

Thanks to Robert and his crew of "Restaurant: Impossible," this restaurant and family have better communication and a brighter future.

At the end of each show, Robert tells viewers to check his link to see how the restaurant is doing since his visit. If you liked what you read, please Subscribe, and you will never miss another post from this Television Examiner. Thanks!
