Food quality is the key to the brain automatically keeping track of the calories that are being eaten by the body. To maintain a constant weight, the body has to exert the same amount of calorie energy that is being taken in over the course of the year.
The brain has a tough job
The brain is in control of all the organs and the organ systems and the glands and chemicals that go into keeping the body running in tip top shape. The brain is in control of interpreting the signals being sent from the stomach, the digestive system and all of the ones being sent from all over the body in relation to what it needs as far as energy, meaning calorie intake to keep the body running smoothly.
The brain doesn’t wait for errors to happen
The brain predicts upcoming needs for what it will take to keep the body running smoothly. It analyzes a host of signals and chemical reactions and sensations assessing internal and external conditions. You become aware of this act when you feel the sensations of thirst and hunger or an overwhelming feeling of fullness. Over the course of human history famine and hunger have been the dominating force. Evolution has programmed the brain to make sure and eat energy-dense foods, especially fats whenever they become available.
The brain is the master energy calorie tracker
Managing the weight of the body is a challenging task, especially in light of the quality of today’s modern world food choices. You can make the job of the brain easier. Reading labels to insure quality food intake, counting calories to insure energy needs are being met and keeping track of the steps you take to insure the intake excess is being burned off falls on you.
