Respawn Entertainment gave just enough information about the upcoming Titanfall beta to annoy gamers for the entire weekend, as the game’s developer said they’ll have news on the test sometime next week, according to a report today from VG 24/7.

In a post to Respawn’s official Twitter account, the Titanfall developer said they appreciate the anticipation for the game and info will head out soon about its beta.

“Hey, we love all your excitement about the beta,” Respawn tweeted. “News will be coming early next week.”

After the Titanfall alpha concluded in January, rumors that the game’s beta would head out on Feb. 14 –– Valentine’s Day –– before the full-scale launch of the game in March.

The information comes as one analyst believes that Electronic Arts deliberately delayed the Microsoft exclusive’s release on the Xbox 360 for two weeks to March 25 in order to capitalize on strong pre-order numbers for Titanfall on the current-gen console.
