Respawn Entertainment will make E3 appearance

Respawn Entertainment, the studio formed by the founders of Infinity Ward, was formed in 2010 with Electronic Arts as the publisher. There has not been many clues as to what the original creators of the "Call of Duty" series have been up to but studio head Vince Zampella confirmed Monday that they will be attending E3 this year and have something to show.

"I've gotten a 'few' questions about @e3expo plans this year. Yes, we will finally be at E3!" Zampella announced via Twitter.

He then cryptically added, "I have no intention of showing up empty handed! I can't say anything else right now."

Whatever Zampella and the rest of Respawn Entertainment show up with would be a boon for Electronic Arts at this point. The publisher put the "Medal of Honor" series on the shelf following back to back sub-par outings and now does not have a franchise to alternate with the "Battlefield" series.

One thing is certain at this point though, this new Respawn Entertainment franchise will likely be a showcase PS4 and Xbox 720 title for Electronic Arts.
