It’s a rare occasion when someone can turn a passion into a career that they love – especially when it happens somewhat by accident. Stacey Deering knows all too well what this is like. For this savvy mother of two, it was as natural as making 65 cake pops for her sons’ preschool to celebrate the last day of school.
According to Stacey, she got such a positive response from the moms, she began making the cake pops by the hundreds for friends and family. However, she soon discovered that such a project was taking precious time and energy away from her kids. While the baking itself took time, the most daunting task was gathering all of the necessary items needed to make each new design. It was then that she had her epiphany: What if there were kits that contained all of the needed elements in one box? Voila, The Secret Baker was born. With the tireless help of family and friends, Stacey launched her company, her vision, and hasn't looked back since. Almost two years later, she and her company are still going strong.
While providing a quality product is paramount to Stacey, she has two other goals that she hopes to accomplish with The Secret Baker. Besides providing everything needed to create high quality cake pops and chocolate covered Oreos at home, she also wants to bring families back into the kitchen by showing everyone that they can do this.
The kits truly do contain everything needed to create wonderful goodies that are as delicious as they are little works of art. From high quality chocolate to gloves and even toothpicks, you’ll not need to search your kitchen or make a special trip to the store when using a kit from The Secret Baker.
Recently, I had the privilege to try the Four Leaf Clover Mini Chocolate Oreo Kit, complete with chocolate, shamrock molds and even the mini Oreos.
The process was both fun and simple, but the results were amazing. This would be a perfect activity for a rainy day or for any special occasion. Each kit includes thorough instructions, complete with a difficulty rating. Some of the projects are so easy, the kids can do them by themselves.
Visit the website and peruse all of the different kits. Whether you want to make cake pops or irresistible chocolate covered Oreos, you won’t be disappointed, your family and friends will be impressed and you’ll be left with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.
