The late autumn storm that rolled through last week has brought smiles to everyone who is a snow sports nut. All of the ski resorts in our slice of the Sierra report a fantastic dumping of snow.
Here are the resorts that are open, with the snowfall from the latest storm:
Squaw Valley: 31"
Northstar California: 28"
Mt. Rose: 18+"
Sugar Bowl, which opened for the weekend on Friday, will re-open on the 14th. Homewood will open on or before Dec. 13. Alpine Meadows opens on Dec. 13. Diamond Peak will start spinning the lifts on Dec. 12. Soda Springs will welcome guests on Dec. 13. Donner Ski Ranch hasn't announced their opening date yet.
All in all, the skiing this next weekend will be plentiful, with more resorts opening, and those that are open, dropping the ropes and opening up more terrain. Wax the boards, it's time to go.
