I know Christmas and New Years are barely behind us but at the water coolers, school drop off, and the gym all anyone can talk about is their next get away. I have jumped on this band wagon long ago as my comfort in these long cold and depressing days. We can day dream about beaches, sun, and our awesome cabana wardrobe. Boston is amazing in so many ways just not so much in January and February. However, luckily there is plenty of amazing shops to make us completely prepared fit our winter escape no matter where it is going to be. I once again compiled a list of the hottest and some what economical resort wear in the city.
Marni Totes. I'm obsessed with most of their things but this year and especially this season her totes are amazing. Their red multicolor tote is great for any resort wardrobe. It even has plastic linings for any plane mishaps whether flying solo or with your little ones in tow. The second bag is Marni's Contrast Box Tote which is not part of her resort collection and is a bit of a splurge at five hundred and thirty dollars but it is stunning. The best places in Boston to search for these finds are at either Barney's or Neiman Marcus.
DVF resort collection is a bit funky this year and reminiscent of the eighties in may ways. However, her Naples pants in blossom and tuxedo are perfect for dinners on the beach or pool. Her local boutique on Newbury Street carries these for two hundred and ninety eight dollars as well many other desirable items for you upcoming vacation.
Lilly Pulitzer in my mind is a year round resort influenced collection that screams beach attire all the time. This year her bikinis are very inspiring whether to plan that desperately needed vacation or hit the gym. I am partial to the Surfs Up bottom and Board Walk top in bright navy swim party polka dot. her store on Newbury carries this as well as several other great styles and prints for around one hundred and forty dollars.
Have fun on your beach get away no matter where you a headed warm weather and cute clothes are sure to cure any winter blues you may have.
