The Resort 2013 showing for Issa underscores diminutive style with its off beat and quirky designs. The collection begins with an animated floor length dress that is decorated with what appears to be a caricature of pop icon Andy Warhol.
The collection then heads off to vintage styled silhouettes a la the 60’s that go between a mix of placid like colors and bold prints. There are a few Resort ready staples such as the kaftan coverings and swimsuits with cardigan in tow.
There were a few cardigans in the collection as well as wrap dresses, the prevailing theme was casual chic with a hint of boldness as evidence by the magnetic prints.
Highlights for the collection include the Issa lace-paneled stretch knit dress in black, an embellished silk crepe de chine kaftan in azure blue, an embellished silk crepe de chine shift dress in canary yellow and a printed wrap dress.
