Resort 2012: Givenchy, Emilio Pucci, and Stella McCartney

Givenchy:

Riccardo Tisci’s Resort collection for Givenchy continued the trend of floral prints from his Fall 2011 collection and reworked it sans panther with new colors and a fresh layout. Tisci fused sporty and high-end fashion by mixing bright, bold patterns with loose silhouettes and hats or visors and even a necklace to possibly put a whistle or a key. The orange floral pattern made the garments look a little mature, the garments that really stood out as fresh and chic were those in solid colors, look out for the mixing of fashion genres and those cute cropped sweatshirts are sure to make a huge splash this Resort season. Emilio Pucci:

The Emilio Pucci Resort collection showcased amazingly tailored pants and blazers in sorbet colors. Fitted suits weren’t the only thing in Peter Dundas’ Pucci collection, he also showed dresses best described as effortlessly sexy. Floor length, flowy dresses that seem to just melt off the figure and some mini dresses including a couple of crocheted dresses perfect for the beach. See full resort collection here.

Stella McCartney:

In true Stella McCartney tradition her Resort collection consisted of menswear tailoring and loosely fitted garments. McCartney certainly added the resort feel to the collection with Hawaiian prints, pair that with a houndstooth print or a stripe print and the collection not only talks, but shouts fun and eclectic. A favorite is the trapeze style top that is shown in a stripe and Hawaiian pattern. See full resort collection here.
