Resolve to bring mindfulness, breath, body awareness and compassion into your 2010. An exciting workshop is coming to Mindful Motion Yoga on Sunday, January 24th to show you the way.
Mindful eating practices will be shared and you will be led through a yoga class that shows you how to stimulate digestion and increase metabolism. You will discover your dosha or body type and learn how to eat and live to support it. Through all of this you will also find an inner and outer peace and acceptance.
The 2 Hour, 3 Part workshop includes:
An introduction to the Doshas or (Body Types and Constitutions) - Learn the importance of balancing the three doshas to bring about good health. Determining one's Dosha will assist in making the correct choices regarding exercise, diet and environment. We will offer a short quiz to help determine your dosha.
Next, you will participate in a yoga practice where you will learn how various poses effect metabolism, and digestion. No yoga experience is needed. Easy to follow, gentle poses and breathing exercises will be introduced.
Finally, you will explore the Philosophy of the Yoga of Eating - bringing mindfulness through compassionate awareness to the way you eat.
"This workshop is designed to be a personal experience, unique to each participant and is not another diet," Terri Morrison, owner of Mindful Motion Yoga said.
