I couldn't call it New Years Eve or Making New Year's Resolutions, someone else already took those titles! So I had to come up with something nobody else would. Does making resolutions really work? Does anybody even do it anymore? It seems like everybody wants to lose weight, start running, etc., but trying to make a bunch of intense changes seems doomed to failure. I believe more success is had by just making small improvements. Instead of vowing to start running (good luck!) maybe it would be better to just start walking more. Certainly cheaper and easier, and in my own experience, nothing tones up the behind like pushing a baby stroller up a hill! And walking helps with weight loss. I think when people try to tackle some great task, or more than one, all of a sudden, they get discouraged quickly. If you break it down into little, manageable bits, then it is more likely to succeed. So, that is my advice on New Year's Resolutions, for those who resolutely resolve to make some resolutions!
