Resistance Pro Wrestling invades the south side this Friday

Resistance Pro Wrestling is going south for the winter, or at least for the month of January when it presents its first show of 2013. Their next event, Stay Hungry, will be held at Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, IL. The venue is no stranger to wrestling and MMA events as they've held both numerous times.

Creative director Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame and the Baron Brothers (owners of Resistance Pro) have filled the card full of great talent to kick off the new year with a bang. Former WWE and TNA star, Matt Hardy, will challenge RPro champion The Ego Robert Anthony for the RPro tile in the main event. In addition, Melanie Cruise will put her women's title on the line against Awesome Kong, another former TNA and WWE superstar. The newly crowned tag-team champions, Lock Up will be there on work release to defend their titles against Ruff Skies (Ruff Crossing and John Skyler). Also on hand will be the usual array of top talent including Lonesome Jay Bradley (who was just featured on TNA Impact last week), Ashton Vuitton, Mr. 450 and lots more.

Tickets are available at www.resistancepro.com or you can pay at the door. Doors open at 6pm and bell time is 7:30pm. Bourbon Street is located at 3359 W. 115th Street in Merrionette Park, IL
