'Resident Evil: Revelations' for Nintendo Wii U will have Off TV Play support

It's been just over a year since "Resident Evil: Revelations" dropped for the Nintendo 3DS. Capcom is looking to bring that handheld experience to the home consoles, with ports planned for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii U.

The news today is that Off TV Play is planned for the Nintendo Wii U port of the game. For those not in the know, Off TV Play means you can send the game to your Wii U GamePad, and continue playing without the use of your TV.

The Off TV Play is a handy feature when you're at home and someone needs the TV, as it allows you to keep playing and keeps everyone happy. Of course you wouldn't want to play the entire game on the GamePad, since the Wii U is a home console and the GamePad is used for other things besides gameplay.

Tsukasa Takenaka, Capcom producer of "Resident Evil: Revelations" says they put in Off TV Play so players can take the GamePad with them wherever they go and keep playing. Really, it's just a nice feature to be added to the game.

"Resident Evil: Revelations" is currently available for the Nintendo 3DS, no word on when the port for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U will launch.
