San Francisco’s famed fabric store Britex is sponsoring a series of events in celebration of their sixtieth anniversary. An event next Thursday, July 26 featuring a focus on costume and corsetry. 5 milliners, costumers and corset makers will be displaying their work and answering questions about design, process, and construction. Unfortunately, reservations are no longer being accepted for the event.

If you’d like to get a jump on the next event in the Britex series, a menswear, shirtmaking, and millinery event is planned for September 20. Custom tailor Carlos Morin and men’s and woman’s milliner DeAnna Gibbons are scheduled to appear and talk about their design and construction processes.

The presentation will be held September 20, from 7 to 9 pm at the Britex store at 146 Geary in San Francisco. RSVPs for the event are requested. RSVP to 415.392.2910 or by emailing geana@britexfabrics.com.
