Rescue Rally awards ceremony is January 25

During October and November of last year, twelve local rescue groups were involved in the 2012 Rescue Rally. The goal of the Rally is to increase the number of dogs and cats saved from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control. During this round, 288 animals were saved. In addition to saving lives, these small, all volunteer groups can earn cash prizes for pulling, vetting and adopting out these animals.

Sponsored by Move to ACT, these groups will share $4,500 in prizes. The award ceremony will be held at 7 PM Friday, January 25 at the Circle City Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital. The public is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served. There will also be a silent auction a "Toss A Bone" contest held during the event. It's your chance to see what great things local volunteers are doing to help save the homeless pets of Indianapolis.
