Today the Epping and Warner-Webster Republican Committees joined in the resolution to stand against Obamacare. Across the Granite State, Republican Committees are standing against Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion. One by one, they are presenting resolutions such as the following in which they stand with the majority of New Hampshire voters who are against Obamacare. From the Rockingham County GOP (the first to create such a resolution):

Be it resolved that the Rockingham County Republican Committee hereby declares its support of the Republican Party Platform, against the Affordable Care Act or the Expansion of Medicaid in any form, and herby instructs the Committee Officers to so inform the New Hampshire Republican Party and the New Hampshire State Senate of this action, and urges all Rockingham Country Republican Committee members to make this decision known to all of our elected leaders.

New Hampshire voters have continually been against Obamacare since its creation yet Democrats pushed it forward regardless. As a result, thousands lost their health insurance, doctors and hospitals. Thousands more people in the state will lose their health insurance plans at the end of 2014. Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion will be reaching a vote in the Senate next week despite Granite Staters wanting nothing to do with it.

Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion adds insult to injury because it’s nothing more than a huge federal welfare program that the state will end up footing the bill for which will force the Legislature (to Democrats sheer delight) to impose an income and/or sales tax. Not only will Granite Staters suffer under Obamacare but they’re going to suffer under Obamacare two times over thanks to Democrats.

Republicans have always maintained they would stand with New Hampshire voters and were able to keep Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion at bay. That is, until Democrats won a majority in the House. Democrats are so out-of-touch with voters, they don’t care that the majority don’t want Obamacare. Shaheen and Shea-Porter didn’t listen to their constituents when they voted Obamacare in at the National level and Democrats aren’t listening to constituents now while voting it in at the local level.

There seems to be only one party that cares about what is best for New Hampshire when it comes to Obamacare and that is the Republican Party. They are proving it by standing with the majority of citizens who are against a government takeover of health care. They are standing with the majority of citizens who are against the federal government intrusion of Obamacare directly into the state.

Why a few Republican Senators – Morse, Bradley, Odell and Stiles – refuse to stand with New Hampshire is unclear. Last night Republican Senator John Reagan joined Senators Sanborn, Cataldo and Prescott to join the people of New Hampshire against Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion. People are quite used to Democrats doing whatever their party bosses tell them (SEE: Shaheen and Shea-Porter) but they aren’t used to that from Republicans.

Several other Republican Committees have joined with New Hampshire citizens against Obamacare: Strafford County, Manchester, Mount Washington Valley as well as Merrimack. While Republicans stand with New Hampshire residents, Democrats are standing in front of them, ignoring the will of the people. Republicans are standing with New Hampshire against Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion and so should the rest of the Senate.
