Republic F.C. to play the first of two "friendlies" tonight with Albion F.C.

Sacramento Republic F.C. will face the West Bromwich Albion F.C. tonight in the first of two "friendlies". The "Baggies" will open their United States leg 2014-2015 preseason tour with a match against the Sacramento Republic F.C. Albion is 2-0-1 so far in their first three games with victories over Bury(2-0), Shrewsbury Town (2-1) and a draw against the Wycombe Wanderers (0-0). Sacramento is 0-2 in "friendlies" this season with late game losses against Club Altas (2-1) and Rangers F.C. (2-1).

West Bromwich was founded in 1878 and plays in the English Premier League. Last season, the Baggies finished in 17th place with a record of 7-16-15. The bottom three football clubs that finished below them (Norwich City, Fulham and Cardiff City) were demoted to the the Football League Championship for the 2014-2015 season and Burnley and Leicester City were promoted to the Premier League. Sacramento Republic F.C. is currently in fourth place in the USL Pro League with a record of 10-6-3.
